Democrat Joe Biden has won the presidency of the United States by the widest margin achieved by any candidate over an incumbent by over 4 million votes and still growing. By the time all the votes are counted, it could be over 5 million. Our system of voting is the most accurate of any system in the world but it is made slower by the COVID-19 virus.
Until they can come up with a vaccine to slow the number of growing deaths in our country, it will continue to be slow because of its dangerous unknown affects.
One thing for sure though, and very visible, is the fact that Democrat Joe Biden believes in wearing a mask. Simple and effective but it is going to involve a strict system of discipline and enforcement.
You can tell that very few people involved in the Democratic Party have been infected compared to the number of members of Republican President Donald Trump until January 20, 2021. Donald Trump himself had a case of COVID-19, as well as his wife and son as well as other people he was in close contact with.
It’s no joking matter and thank heavens not everyone getting it dies but the number of people dying, particularly if you’re older, is increasing to record numbers in states all over the country.
President-elect Joe Biden is trying to form his own people in transition who are knowledgeable in science to combat COVID-19 but he has received no money or information from the current Republican Administration, who don’t seem to want to work with the Democrats at all even though COVID 19 is killing just as many Republicans as it is Democrats because the virus doesn’t pick and choose.
This is just one of the many problems that has to be discussed before January 20, 2021 when the presidency changes hands. We should hope that Democrats and Republicans are working together for the good of the country.
