To the editor:
The previous submitter says the soul of America is at stake in these November elections and while I agree with her on this point, electing Democrats will only serve to continue America’s moral and ethical decline that started in 1973 with Roe vs Wade.
The Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Life is a self-evident, unalienable right but lifestyle and happiness are not. Your individual happiness and lifestyle are the cumulative result of your choices/decisions, with the resulting consequences, you make throughout your life. Personal responsibility for one’s choices, decisions and actions IS the way it should be but in over 60 million instances since 1973 this is not the case. For reasons I cannot begin to understand a liberal Supreme Court in 1973 decided that a third party, an innocent baby in a womb, should pay the consequences for the irresponsible actions of another person. There is NO justification for slaughtering infants (abortion) in any society. Just because an action is legal does not make it right. Why would I or any other Christian/individual even consider voting for a candidate who supports the Democratic National Platform which states on page 33 their belief in the right to kill unborn babies in the womb for any reason and at any time. I do not want to think about what unspeakable laws the Democrats will try to pass, if they are in the majority, to facilitate transforming America into their perverse politically correct view of what our American society should look like. Nothing the Democrats propose can undo the harm being done to this nation by their unwillingness to protect our most vulnerable. America’s soul, our moral and ethical values, will never be restored without putting an end to the legal murdering of our babies in the womb. The USA has NO enemy more dangerous to Americans and the American way of life than the liberal ideology responsible for the passing of a law that legalized the murdering of over 60 million American babies.
In November we have the responsibility, by our vote, to make sure those responsible for this atrocity are denied the ability to inflict more damage to America with their liberal agenda/platform.
