Letter to the Editor: Keep Kriss Marion out

To the editor:

Check our Kriss Marion’s Facebook entry of August 29 for her proposed solutions to our recent flooding. Her solutions include looking at “upstream communities” to “restore wetlands” by stricter zoning and restricting land use. That means more government regulation, and stricter zoning. My favorite of Kriss’s solutions: “reduce use of impervious surfaces in urban areas.” That means drive ways, parking lots, even paved streets may be subject to going back to gravel and dirt. Don’t smile, it has seriously been brought up and discussed in my own township.

More regulation, stricter zoning and going back to gravel roads is what Kriss Marion wants for our future. Keep Kriss out.
