From Dan Bartholf

Monroe School Board President

To the editor:

On Tuesday November 6th, Monroe voters voted to pass both referendum questions for the School District of Monroe. I want to thank our teachers, the “Say Yes to Monroe” group, and all other volunteers for their hundreds of hours they spent volunteering to spread the message.

I want to thank our school administration, especially the leadership provided by our District Administrator, Rick Waski, and our Business Administrator, Ron Olson, in guiding us through this process. Most importantly, I want to thank the voters of Monroe for supporting our students. With the passage of these referendum questions, this shows that the citizens of the Monroe School District truly recognize the value of education in our community. I am proud to serve on the Board of Education in a community that is willing to make the necessary investment in our schools.

Finally, I recognize that the voters have put their trust in us and I vow that we will use your valuable funds in a productive and efficient manner. Thank you.
