From Ruth L. Beckman
President of the Albany Historical Society
To the editor:
The Albany Historical Society board members wish to thank the members and friends of the society, for their assistance in the flooding of the Historical Museum, Thursday and Friday, March 14 and 15. For the many people who stepped forth, voluntarily, on their own, to help the society control the deluge of Sugar River waters, and the use of seven pumps. Again, the society’s most sincere thank you. This was our third flood in two years. All the Albany businesses along the east side of the Sugar River got flooding. This year it was more than the last.
