To the Editor:

The position of Green County Treasurer needs to be filled by someone with relationships, knowledge, and experience forged within Green County.  Jayne Butts is that person.

For the past 19 years, Jayne has served the people of Green County as an employee.  She has spent this time building relationships and gaining experience navigating Green County government policies and procedures. Jayne has over 13 years of experience as a municipal clerk and treasurer and has previously assisted in the Green County Treasurer’s Office. She has honed her accounting, business management, and customer service skills by directly working with Green County colleagues, elected municipal officials, volunteers, and the general public.

A lifelong resident of Green County she has dedicated her time to volunteering.  She has served as a poll worker for local elections, and a volunteer for the Green County Dairy Youth Auction, Green County Fair Meat Animal Auction, Green County Fair, Green County 4-H, Cheese Days, Master Gardner program, and Black Hawk FFA Alumni.  Jayne “puts in the work” as a servant of the people and for the people within Green County.

The Office of Green County Treasurer does not need a career politician.  Join me in voting for Jayne Butts, a true servant with the knowledge and expertise to lead the Green County Treasurer’s office.
