To the Editor:
Quality of life, quality of health, and the freedom to make individual choices go hand in hand with a healthy democracy. Leah Spicer is the choice to protect these! Leah is running for State Assembly in the 51st district.
Leah supports fair district maps that allow constituents to choose their representative. Fair maps ensure your vote counts! Sadly, her opponent, Todd Novak, continues to vote for maps that cheat the public of their voice.
Leah supports clean, safe drinking water; water free from pollutants and PFAs. Novak feels clean, safe water isn’t a right but rather taxpayers should pay for corporate and big ag pollution cleanup.
Leah supports expanding Medicaid eligibility and our access to affordable rural healthcare. Novak and other Republicans refuse to consider this even though it will benefit Lafayette County’s county-owned hospital. Rural hospitals’ financial viability deteriorates in states refusing Medicaid expansion — states like Wisconsin.
Leah supports abortion access and reproductive freedom. Governmental restriction and control of women is found in autocratic societies, not a healthy democracy. Yet, Novak refuses to sponsor bills allowing this freedom.
Want your vote to count? Want your freedoms and rights protected? Want safe drinking water? Want quality healthcare?
Want your Lafayette County government-owned hospital to be financially viable so your taxes don’t increase?
Vote LEAH SPICER for 51st district State Assembly!
