To the Editor:
A real injustice was done to a young man on the varsity baseball team on Thursday, May 15. The day before was senior skip day and all four seniors on the baseball team missed Wednesdays practice. When they brought in their excuse (lie), the coaches excused 3 of seniors so they could play the game on Thursday, which happened to be senior night. The fourth senior, the coaches didn’t accept his excuse. I’m sure everyone in the school district knew that Wednesday was senior skip day. Why wasn’t his excuse accepted? They were all lies. Either they all sit or they all play, to pick out this young man was the injustice. Is this what we are teaching in the Monroe School District, the better you lie,the more you can get ahead? This young man deserves a public apology from the school district, the AD and especially the coaches.
