To the Editor:

I am very concerned about the election for Wisconsin’s Superintendent of Public Instruction.

I have subscribed to a blog by Diane Ravitch (dianeravitch.net). She has worked with both Republican and Democratic presidents. We need to vote to stop the takeover of our children’s education by private and religious schools. I believe we simply can not afford to spend our taxpayer dollars on these private and religious schools and ignore public schools.

Public education is being destroyed in many states and let’s not do the same in Wisconsin.

We need to be transparent and show where our taxpayer dollars are going. It should not be a secret. I am voting for Jill Underly for Wisconsin Superintendent of Public Instruction and hope you vote the same.
