To the Editor: 

It is time for all of us to act to preserve our democracy. The legislature is currently drawing new maps to determine legislative districts for the next 10 years. Both political parties have drawn maps in the past to assure they stay in power rather than making sure they represent the true will of the voters. Voters overwhelmingly want fair maps which give true equal representation for everyone. In spite of this it appears that the currently legislature will produce gerrymandered maps which will assure they stay in power in spite of what the voters want.

We must petition our representatives and judges to do what the people want — produce fair maps.  Our democracy will not survive don’t get rid of the current corrupt system.
