Alschuler: Legistlation must pass Clean Energy Jobs Act
Letter To The Editor

By Matthew Alschuler

Warren

To the Editor:

I have installed solar at my farmhouse. Many of my neighbors have as well. It takes money from multinational utilities and puts it back into our pockets. It also creates jobs for our friends and neighbors, pumping more money into our community rather than the pockets of corporations.

The IL Clean Energy Jobs Act is critical for reducing our state’s global warming emissions and creating critically-needed clean jobs for our community.

Springfield legislators must act now to pass an equitable, comprehensive climate bill in August that includes closure dates for fossil fuel power plants that pollute Illinois communities.

Ask your elected officials to support legislation that helps us, our community, and the environment.
