Ahhh, Scott Walker's chickens are coming home to roost. People in Wisconsin are getting a real good look at the ramifications of his unfunded tax cuts and fiscal mismanagement. Our state is drowning in debt, and we discover that everything he told us about having a "surplus" right up to the election was a complete lie. In reality, he's been playing a shell game - borrowing grotesque amounts of money to give us insignificant tax cuts while he threw obscene amounts of our hard-earned tax dollars at anyone who'd help him pay for a run at the White House. Our roads are disintegrating, our state parks are languishing in neglect, he's demolishing one of the finest universities in the country, our school's funding is being gutted, people are losing their jobs, old people, sick people, and poor people are suffering like never before in our state, our property values are plummeting, our local taxes are going up, new fees are being added every which way you turn, our wages are going down ... and he can't even pay the interest on the mountain of debt he's created. (A delay that will cost Wisconsin taxpayers over $19 million just in additional interest and penalties through 2017, according to a memo from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau memo.)
Welcome to the real world of Republican trickle-down economics - one of the greatest scams ever perpetrated on the American people in the history of our country. And yet, his supporters still defend him and hope he ends up in the White House. It's become painfully clear that Walker's supporters would continue to blindly support him even if he were caught red-handed on video pouring acid on puppies, and that they'd blindly hate anyone who doesn't support him, even if that person pulled them from a burning car. When do the people of Wisconsin finally admit that the emperor is wearing no clothes?
