To the editor:

I read with interest Mr. Springs letter about the governor. I so appreciate the questions he posed about Gov. Walker as so often I have no idea where prejudice has its origin. It was good not to have to pick my brain as his questions were "to the point."

Elected officials are a direct reflection of those who elected them. This is why we cannot just find fault with our president (who promised change) without pointing a finger at the ill-informed people who put him there.

To the points Mr. Spring presents to us:

1. The minimum wage and Prevailing Wage laws. When small businesses and farmers are struggling, they do not need burdensome regulation. True compassion is the root of free enterprise. It's the concept of sowing and reaping in the Bible.

2. "Millions taken from the UW and the public schools." Those so called "school dollars" were actually taxpayer dollars. The UW System had millions in funds most of us were not even aware of. The governor was quick to note we were not getting proportionately positive outcomes to the monies being poured into the schools.

3. Act 10 and Divide and Conquer. The governor was called a derogatory name by one of the union "Big Shots," or so he once thought himself to be. It wasn't the governor who raped the wages of state employees and forced them to pay the union something ridiculously called "Fair Share." By the way, farmers pay all their health insurance premiums, and most of us do pay something for health benefits; why should not state employees?

4. Right-to-Work legislation. Why should I be turned down a job simply because I do not wish to join a union?

5. "Cronyism" - It was cronyism that held up state governance and the business of Wisconsinites in the state Capitol. You will remember a certain tribe of misguided Dems and pathetic politicians fled to Illinois. I wish they had stayed there.

6. Walker for president. Would you rather have "more of the same" with Hillary? Do you really want Ronald McDonald? The hard reality here is that the "compassionate" folks of Wisconsin have chosen Walker thrice to be their governor. Keep your $5, Mr. Spring.

The governor has been spit upon, endured threats against himself and his family, and will not be shaken by the on-going liberal pity-party.
