Fellow citizens, your vote is very important. Not just important but vital, a right, a privilege and a duty. If you don't vote, you are passing on your duty to yourself, your fellow citizens, your state and your country.
One very vital contest here in Wisconsin is our next governor. I say next because our present governor has proven ineffective, for the majority of us. His policy of "divide and conquer" has been a boom for his rich backers but not for the "average Joe" who is faced with low wages, few or no jobs and the struggle for the dignity of a decent living. His challenger, Mary Burke, brings a breath of fresh air to our legislature that will help to rid us of the foul odors emanating from the seat of government. Her idea is to unite and level the playing field between the rich and poor.
The governor asks, "Are you better off than you were four years go?" Just ask the public sector workers who are taking home $3,000 to $5,000 less per year. The only good thing about that is they will be paying less taxes.
The possibility of having another "bomb" (ACT 10 etc.) dropped is too big to chance if Walker is re-elected. Let's give Mary Burke the opportunity to correct the damage done to our great state by the Walker administration.
Yes, vote, but vote wisely with your head and your heart and not just your pocket book. Vote Mary Burke.
