Candidate Trump asked voters "what do you have to lose." Well, here we are in month seven of his disastrous presidency and we have already lost too much. We have a "leader" with no moral compass and no conscience. He is squandering the most powerful position on earth. Where once we were leaders in protecting the environment through clean air and water standards - our whiner-in-chief has withdrawn from the Paris climate accords. Because of his brash, rude, lying behavior we are losing respect from every corner of the world. At home, he is encouraging neo Nazis, white supremacists and the KKK to incite violence in our cities. All to preserve statues dedicated to America's traitors. Those who tried to secede so they could continue to own other human beings. And no, the Washington monument, Jefferson memorial and Lincoln memorial aren't going anywhere in spite of his lies. The "businessman" has lost the business community as evidenced by their mass exodus from his business advisory council. And the arts council also disbanded in response to his failure to denounce the thugs in Charlottesville.
The GOP has control of both houses of Congress as well as the presidency and what have they accomplished? NOTHING. They have attempted to destroy health care for millions of Americans and discredit the FBI and Department of Justice. Our education secretary is trying to dismantle public education. The Justice department should be filing domestic terrorism charges against the driver in Charlottesville but they would rather harass immigrants.
POTUS has spent more time playing golf than lobbying for legislation. And he is doing it at TREMENDOUS expense to the taxpayers while enriching himself and his family. The man who was "going to make America great again" still manufactures his ties and his daughter's clothing line in Vietnam, China and Bangladesh. How's that working for Americans?
We will have the opportunity next year to elect state and national representatives who will restore credibility and sanity to government. We have lost too much already. Time to elect Democrats.
