To the editor:
It's time for the Electoral College to do its thing. The Electoral College was formed by the Founding Fathers because they felt that the population was not adequately informed of the candidates running for president so they voted for electors who had more knowledge, and they, in turn, voted for the president.
Today's population with television, Twitter and Facebook are well informed of the values of the people running for president. When considering the popular vote from last week's election, it was reported on Nov. 15, 2016, that Hillary Clinton had slightly more than a million more votes than Donald Trump.
So therefore, the college of electors should vote for Hillary and do their job because the population of the country today is well informed. And if the Electoral College did its job, the whole world would shout, "Hooray", and I would second it.
