Hosts, Green County Humane Society's Whine in the Woods
To the editor:
A huge thank you to all who attended and helped at the Second Annual Whine in the Woods fundraiser for the Green County Humane Society. We were delighted with a beautiful fall day and that so many came to show their support.
Many thanks to the local restaurants for participating: The Dining Room at 209 Main, Laughing Trout, and Pancho and Lefty's, along with desserts by Sherrill and Tom Kelly. Thanks also to Grumpy Troll of Mount Horeb, Pecatonica Brewery of Gratiot, Mike Doyle and Noreen Rueckert for providing the spirits, and Colony Brands for delicious Artisan cheeses. The food, wine, craft brews, and live music all made the day very memorable.
Thank you to all who donated and bought art to help support the shelter. We are very grateful for such generous and giving people in our community.
Last, but not least, thanks to the great committee of volunteers: John Baumann, Katie Doyle-Baumann, Mike Doyle, Robin Marsden, Dee Olson, Tracey Pederson, Chris Reed, Noreen Rueckert, Sue Sacker, Marcey Sink and Dodi Westgard. These people are who make it all happen.
