Calling all people who believe in our constitution.
The preamble to the U.S. Constitution starts with the words, "We The People." Nowhere in the constitution does it say "We The Corporations," and corporations are not mentioned anywhere in the U.S. Constitution. Bit by bit over the last 240 years, corporate lawyers have wedged their way into constitutional law. These corporate incursions into the constitution didn't hurt the people's voices in elections until 2010, when the Supreme Court opinion in Citizen United vs. Federal Election Commission ruled that money is equal to free speech, allowing the corporate donation floodgates opened, and now a person's $10 donation to a political cause or issue is crushed by a corporation's million-dollar donation. Does that sound like, "We The People?" No, It sounds like "We The Corporations" who are flooding the political system, drowning out "We The People" because of their own corporate greed. Bribery works in our system, but my $10 doesn't buy me much.
"Democracy Is Not A Spectator Sport."
"Democracy Is Not A Noun, It is A Verb."
Our political system is dysfunctional and corrupt. Do your part to take back your vote.
