Board member,
Green Cares Food Pantry
To the editor:
My name is Jenelle Sutter and I am a member of the Green Cares Food Pantry Board of Directors. I am writing today to shine a light on the United Way and what its support has meant to the Green Cares Food Pantry. The Green Cares Food Pantry is just one of over 40 local programs supported by the United Way. Without the United Way, our food pantry would not be the successful program that it is today. Due in part to the funding we receive from the United Way, we were able to support close to 250 families in September 2017 alone, including 265 children and 473 adults. Our food pantry, while small in size, has served an average of 260 families, including an average 294 children and 491 adults each month in 2017. Our services to these individuals would not be possible without the funds we receive from the United Way.
The United Way is currently conducting its annual campaign. This annual campaign works to raise money to support valuable programs in our community and throughout Green County. These valuable programs are focused on meeting the needs of its citizens. The United Way has been the cornerstone to the success of the Green Cares Food Pantry and the continued support of the United Way is very important to us. If you can, I hope that you will all consider donating to the United Way Campaign, your gifts truly help improve lives in Green County. Green Cares Food Pantry is just one example of that.
