To the editor:
We are very fortunate to live in such a great community. An excellent school district is essential for a community's success. Our school district has been through many changes over the last few years and we need people who can deal with, understand and directly influence the policies concerning our children in a positive and effective way. Our school board members have an important roll in the decision making process and we need them to be an extension of our children's lives. Nikki Saugstad is that person. She comes from a family of dedicated educators devoted to the Monroe school district. Nikki, as a parent and active community member, understands what benefits our children. She will be a strong voice for all children and not just a select few. As grandparents, we feel strongly about the education our grandchildren will receive and feel Ms. Saugstad will be able to develop ideas that keep our district strong, while being an advocate for all children. What does this mean for Monroe? A great school district with happy, healthy, well-educated children. Nikki Saugstad is a person who can help make this happen. Vote Nikki Saugstad for Monroe school board.
