Letter to the Editor: Republican party loses morals

From Robin Rouby

Monroe

To the editor:

Today, I read that 53 "ministers" in Alabama are endorsing Roy Moore in his run for the Senate. When 53 so-called ministers can no longer tell the difference between right and wrong and choose to endorse a known child predator, their "religion" has nothing to do with God. Their "religion" is nothing more than a cult. They are no different than ISIS.

And when a political party takes the side of child predators, and it nominates a man who admits to repeatedly sexually assaulting women and publicly brags about walking in on teenage girls while they are naked during beauty pageants for president, and that party's base then elects him - that political party is also a cult, and like ISIS, it needs to be destroyed.

Period!!!!!!!

This is just one reason why decent conservatives, people of good conscience, are leaving the Republican party. It no longer legislates. It serves no useful purpose anymore, unless that purpose is to make the rich richer, and to give every pervert, low-life, bully, bigot, hypocrite, and conman a big club of hate to belong to.

Real traditional, God-fearing, sane conservatives, with real honest-to-goodness family values and real honest-to-goodness principles - people who still have the ability to tell the difference between right and wrong - can no longer support the Republican party. The Republican party has lost its moral authority... along with its soul.
