To the editor:
Your readers may be interested to learn that the recent travel show that featured Baumgartner's cheese and Green County had another Green County product in it. At the very end of the show a clip with the Milwaukee Harbor lighthouse showed a schooner in the background. The ship is the Denis Sullivan, built in Milwaukee in the nineties with volunteer labor and donated materials.
We furnished white oak logs from our farm in Green County. Volunteers came out on weekends, camped out and sawed the logs with a portable band saw. It was quite an experience and we were tickled to see more Green County products on television, even if they were trees.
