From Janet Cook

To the editor:
Cancer treatment should be between the patient and their doctor. Cancer patients should have the human right to take chemotherapy pills, and absolutely it should be covered by insurance. When you are in treatment in the fight against cancer, the fight to live, one should never have to make a decision on treatment because of what insurance pays for. Treatment is treatment, it's what the patient needs. If oral chemo allows the patient to maintain some normalcy in their lives that is a huge part of healing and coping. If oral chemo has less side effects, yeah for the patient. And yes it should be covered by insurance. (And, yes, I have had the fight and know the emotional and physical turmoil.)
It's time to vote the right thing Wisconsin. The Senate passed it, so Assembly it's your turn. Forget politics, no stalling, and vote to help victims of this horrible disease.
