Hope all of you read this article comparing the two governors elected in 2010.
They both had debts caused by the Bush recession.
The governor of Wisconsin made massive cuts to public education but more to private schools.
Increased taxes for lower income by reducing tax credits but gave out big cuts to business with money he didn't have.
Governor of Minnesota raised taxes on the wealthiest and tobacco but increased tax credits for renters. In 2014, signed a $508-million tax cut with $23.2 million for middle income and businesses.
He took Medicaid unlike Walker who refused so will have to pay for it with Wisconsin taxpayer money.
He's so-called business-friendly, still ranks him at 32nd.
Minnesota was 26th.
Minnesota jobless was 3.7 while Wisconsin was 5.2.
Minnesota raised the minimum wage to $9.50 and indexed it to inflation but Walker is against raising the minimum wage. The medium income is about $60,000 where Wisconsin is below $52,000.
Wisconsin is facing a $2-billion deficit. Minnesota has $91.2-billion surplus.
Now Walker wants to keep on borrowing for road where Minnesota plans on increasing gas tax instead of going in debt.
This was Jan. 12 paper.
He will probably be like Gov. Thompson. When he resigned to work in the Bush administration, he left the state over $2 billion in debt.
Too bad this article wasn't in before the election as some may have not voted for someone who is doing a bad job as governor as Walker is.
