To the editor:

Extreme Kudos to the Monroe Arts Center Sat Dec 3 presentation of TIED UP IN KNOTTS, The Don Knotts Tribute, from his daughter Karen Knotts.

While performing before a sold out crowd, Karen Knotts was not shy, studdering, or didn't carry a bullet in her pocket like Barney Fife. Karen was Brilliant. Showing old film clips, telling fresh stories, paying tribute to both her Dad, Andy Griffith, Little Opie, Ronny Howard, Aunt BEE, and the rest of the cast. Her warm heartfelt stories were like sitting in front of a fireplace and listening to a well crafted storyteller. Karen Knotts was a huge hit. Please encourage MAC to get more shows like this.

While some of her stories brought tears of laughter, some stories brought tears of sorrow. What a fresh air of entertainment... We need more of these positive family shows.

My old friend Larry Lundgren would have loved this show. Barney Fife lives on in the memories of Karen Knotts show.

Thank You Monroe Arts Center for such a Joyous and Wonderful show.
