Monroe

To the editor:

Monroe is a very pretty community, so let's improve it more.

The many little bodies of water throughout our communities are wonderful and should be enjoyed. We love the little park benches to sit on and would sit outside enjoying the scenery, but the water is full of algae. You can't even see the water for all of the algae, debris and overgrowth of weeds, which makes it the perfect area for breeding moquitoes. The ducks and geese won't even land in the water. With all of the diseases, new and old, these little ponds have become health hazards, especially in the hot and humid weather. Everyone should be able to sit comfortably by these bodies of water and enjoy all that we have to offer in our community. They are such an asset to Monroe.

Let's keep it beautiful.

Please do something about this soon.

Thank you very much,

Elderly Residents
