Letter to the editor: GOP has laser focus on donors now

To the editor:

I was reading the paper this morning and wanted to say the letters to the editor were spot on.

The Sylvester Township board did an excellent job for its work on large farms. I read through the scientific report and it should send shockwaves through the Green County board to develop a countywide ordinance.

I'm not against farmers by any means. I grew up on a dairy farm outside of Mondovi, Wisconsin. These large scale operations are a direct threat to our health and water tables. It also shows the offsets for spreading waste to springs and runoff area's that feed streams and rivers are not working and should be revisited for current state ordinances for CAFOs or local ordinance made to fit our geography area.

It also dovetails into the Kingdom of Wisconsin letter which shows the Republican party is basically owned by big business and big money. When I was a Republican they were for decentralization and local control.

Now they're laser focused on making sure their big business donors are taken care of and could care less about the people of Wisconsin.

I'm an independent now and will only vote for candidates who are solidly for the American people as a whole. Sadly nowadays, state and nationwide, it's not the Republican party.
