To the editor:
I see that the Republicans in the House have asked FBI Director James Comey to hand over the records containing his three and one-half hour interrogation of Hillary Clinton. He found nothing there that would cause him to charge her.
In fact, one worker in the Justice Department called what Comey did by saying Hillary was extremely careless was an outrage. Most of the time when the FBI finds that there are no charges to be made, that is all they say. In other words the person is innocent so why smear him or in this case her. I know only one personal thing about Comey and that is he is a Republican.
As for the Republicans, there is a multi-million dollar organization which they call a cottage industry (maybe because it would sound less threatening) whose sole purpose is to attack the Clintons. It has been going on for 25 years and Hillary has gotten the worst of it.
So if you are Liberal or a Democrat and you think Hillary Clinton is corrupt and untrustworthy, you are rewarding 25 years of GOP smears.
The GOP hatred of Hillary is visceral. It's in their gut and they will never feel differently about her.
So you see Donald Trump is not the only one who hates Hillary.
Politics can be dirty business. But Hillary does not use dirty tricks. When she lost to Barack Obama she did not go home and mope. Instead she put out her hand and shook his and gave him that winning smile of hers.
We need to back up Hillary. She is a far finer person than Donald Trump who is consistent in one thing - lying.
