To the editor:
On April 2, we have an opportunity to elect an independent to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Ed Fallone has 20 years experience as an associate Professor at Marquette University Law School and is an expert in constitutional law, corporate law and criminal law.
On Wisconsin Public Television "Here and Now," Justice Roggensack tried to define Professor Fallone politically but failed. Professor Fallone replied he will change the court and make it 3-3 and one. Justice Roggensack was red-faced denying the Wisconsin Supreme Court has been divided, partisan and dysfunctional.
I want a fair and independent Supreme Court and one that is not in the news because one has hands around another's neck.
When I hear Professor Fallone speak, I hear some one who speaks with confidence and knowledge of the law instead of seeming confused and denying failures of the court.
I also have a problem with the money I feel is from the "Dark Side" where a 527 organization is funding Roggensack's ads that are allowed to collect unlimited amounts of money and not disclosing their names.
I remember reading how Texas has a supreme court I felt that was bought by donors and it seems Wisconsin is heading in the same way and that is why I will vote Ed Fallone because he has an open mind and will restore civility to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
