To the editor:
We would like to thank the principal, staff and all the wonderful children at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School for the special program they performed that made this Veteran's Day extra special. We could tell the children spent a lot of time rehearsing the song they performed, they were excellent, and we applaud their efforts.
Gabe Moon did a fantastic job performing "Taps" and Junior Robertson as usual gave an excellent speech. The refreshments after the program, coupled with some interesting dialogue with the other veterans present, made a very welcome patriotic experience for us. We would like to give a special thanks to our granddaughters Karlee and Elizabeth because if they had not invited us we would have missed out on a very special time.
P.S. Thanks to the young man who saluted me as I went down the hall - priceless.
