From Emil (Mike) Rufener
Monticello
To the editor:
Governor Walker, Here are a few things you could do under executive order if you want to get hundreds of votes, about Pinnacle dairy.
I have an interest in the site, as my wife's cousin used to own that land. It was once a beautiful dairy farm, and I am a firm believer that we don't really own the land, so we should leave it as good or better than we had it.
1. Give townships and counties the final say as they will have to foot the bill.
2. Bring back bonding to be $1 million for every 1,000 cows.
3. Need to have a wastewater treatment plant.
When 5,000 cows are equal to the waste of 50,000 people, and small cities are forced to have their own wastewater treatment plants, it only makes sense.
