From Darlene Kennison Monroe I am writing to declare my candidacy for the Ward 6 Alderman position on the Monroe City Council for the Spring 2011 election. I grew up in the city of Denver, Colo. and moved to Texas after graduation where I attended UT-Arlington. I fell in love with the city of Monroe when I vacationed here one summer and soon after moved to Green County, making it my home for the past 25 years.
