The Enterprise Center officially opened April 19 with a standing-room only crowd! Entrepreneurs, existing business owners and community leaders attended to tour the facility and find out how Green County businesses can use the Enterprise Center.

The Enterprise Center is a business development center created in partnership between the Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) and Blackhawk Technical College (BTC). The center's entrance is located on the north end of the BTC Monroe Campus across from the Alp & Dell Cheese Store.

How can your business benefit from the Enterprise Center?

Think of the Enterprise Center as a virtual arm of your business as you grow. Most new and existing small businesses don't have dedicated space for meetings or presentations with clients. Now you have a space to work one-on-one with our business consultants or your clients, host presentations for small groups and high-level meetings, attend business development seminars and have the opportunity for peer networking and learning. It is an inspiring space with walls filled with artwork from entrepreneurs of the Driftless Area Artists.

Need a spot for a confidential conversation to build your business? Use the Coaching Office (Room 203 - 190 square feet) for one-on-one conversations with our small-business consultants who provide free, confidential assistance to business owners.

Need a spot for collaboration? Use the Collaborative Space (Room 204 - 500 square feet) to bring small businesses together to connect and share experiences and knowledge. This room will comfortably seat 20-30 people. It comes equipped with high-speed internet, a computer, white board and projector.

Need a seminar or workshop to start or grow your business? The Seminar Room (Room 202 - 450 square feet) is an ideal space for events and training with our business development experts. The Seminar Room is equipped with high-speed internet, a computer, white board and projector. It will comfortably seat 24 people.

Need a spot to meet with a special client? If you run your business out of your home or out of a small space, use the Board Room (Room 201 - 325 square feet) to pitch your next project. The Board Room is equipped with a smart TV for presentations and will seat 12 people. The center also has a smaller conference room (Room 205 - 130 square feet) for more intimate meetings with clients. The small conference room seats six people and is equipped with a white board.

Need to meet with your employees, but don't have the space at your business?

BTC has opportunities for you to reserve rooms on the Monroe Campus to host staff meetings and set up specialized trainings. Contact BTC to find out about their room-use policies.

Need to train your employees? If you send your staff to other communities for required training, check with Matt Urban, BTC workforce training coordinator, to find options to bring this training closer to home.

How can you reserve space for your business?

The Enterprise Center is not staffed full-time but is available by appointment for business counseling appointments, business development workshops and seminars, networking with other businesses, or high-level meetings with a client. For these needs, contact us at the GCDC office at (608) 328-9452.

For meeting with your employees or setting up both internal and external trainings, contact the BTC Monroe Campus at (608) 328-1660 to learn more.

Are you getting your business off the ground or own a business in transition?

From start-up to succession planning, we have no cost, confidential resources to help small businesses!
