On Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, the Wisconsin State Senate amended and passed Assembly Bill (AB) 1, which is a COVID-19 Compromise bill. This legislation provides liability protections for schools, churches and employers, creates an Essential Visitor option for residents of nursing homes, directs improvements in the Unemployment Compensation program, creates flexibilities for hospitals to provide care and extends a number of waivers and other provisions we passed in an earlier COVID-19 relief bill.
