Henning: More than a gym or a place to swim
Henning

In a county as special as Green County, the sense of community is the heartbeat that connects us all. That’s why we at the Y believe so strongly in the importance of creating a true community hub — an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome and can come together to learn, grow and thrive. A YMCA that is more than a gym or a place to swim; a cornerstone for the community, offering programs and services that enrich lives, foster connections and strengthen the bonds that make Green County such a wonderful place to call home.

Our vision for this new YMCA — this community hub — is rooted in a deep commitment to serving everyone in Green County and the surrounding area. Whether it’s a child learning to swim, a family finding support, or a senior staying active, our goal is to create a space where all generations can come together in a spirit of unity and shared purpose. We are humbled by the overwhelming support we’ve received so far during this community building project and are truly grateful to each person who has believed in this vision. Your contributions, enthusiasm and dedication are what will make this dream a reality.

As we continue on this journey, we are filled with excitement for what lies ahead. We know that a first-class YMCA will not only enhance the lives of those who walk through our doors but will also be a beacon of community pride and resilience. We are deeply grateful for your support and partnership in this endeavor and look forward to building a brighter future together, right here in Green County.

With sincere thanks and excitement,

—Trent Henning, Executive Director
