Great theatre opportunity south of border

I'd like to pass some information to our local arts and theatre lovers. There has been a scheduling change to the current production of the Mighty Richland Players Theatre's "Bosh and Moonshine" show. I am very fortunate to be a part of this fine group.

First, I'll begin with a little background information. This musical-docu-comedy was written and performed just over 10 years ago by North Carolinian, Mike Craver. The MRPT's artistic director, John Buford, of Orangeville, visited and asked Mr. Craver that, if this area would perform his show, would he make an appearance in it as the guest artist? Mr. Craver accepted and we have now finished performing our second weekend in Stockton, Ill. This coming weekend (May15-17) will be our last. Mike Craver has been an inspiration for not only the cast in this production but for all in attendance.

Now, onto the change information. Due to scheduling issues, the Freeport Masonic Temple will not be able to host the show, therefore it is being moved back to the Orangeville Odd Fellows Hall. A short distance for area Monroe folks to come and enjoy dessert theatre! This play is not to be missed. Please plan on attending and watch the stories unfold on stage, while the pit orchestra accompany them. It is a worthwhile experience and pleasing to all age groups. The BOAC (Board of Arts Coalition) includes Wisconsin and Illinois arts groups working together.

The number for tickets is (815) 819-1310. Also, the Web site is www.mightyrichlandplayers.com. For $20 you can take in a live show and get a delightful dessert. Bring a carload and see you there!
