If Green County stands for anything, it should be hard work. This is something Sen. Feingold definitely believes in. Just imagine visiting 72 counties once a year for 18 years. Plus being interviewed by most of the newspapers in the state, as well as numerous other interviews. He was endorsed by all the major newspapers in the state because he showed up to answer the hard questions while Mr. Johnson didn't even show up. In fact, Mr. Johnson didn't even grant an interview to his hometown newspaper, Oshkosh Northwestern.

One of the paid ads from Mr. Johnson, who's complaining about Sen. Feingold not reducing the growing deficit and one of the major reasons this isn't happening is because the millionaires and billionaires are complaining about raising the top federal income tax bracket back to 39.6 percent where it was under President Clinton. Now, these rates are a lot lower than under President Franklin Roosevelt, Truman and Eisenhower, when the rate was 90% and everybody seemed to get by. In fact, the rich corporations probably couldn't even move their jobs offshore as fast then like they are doing now.

When President Obama got elected, he said he was going to tax the hedge fund dealers which they should do because currently, they're being taxed at a 15percent rate. Why shouldn't that be raised to the top rate of 35 percent, particularly when the top hedge fund dealer makes over $3 billion a year? One loyal Republican asked why do they even have hedge fund dealers and I wonder that myself. After all, all they're promoting are toxic derivatives which eventually Fed Chairman Bernandke has to buy up to keep the banks solvent. That's why foreclosure moratorium should have been investigated by Congress years ago. Not after the election, because you would probably find out that it was the Bush Administration that got us into this financial problem.

That's why my husband and I are voting for Sen. Russell Feingold for U.S. senate.
