Monroe
A recipe for a happier senior citizen:
1. Honor. We may be older but our experiences in life have created a wisdom worth listening to.
2. Trust. All you have to do to demoralize an elderly person is to undermine their confidence in their self.
3. Respect. Elders deserve respect for our thinking. Vision and hearing may not be the best. And we may not respond to issues as expected but at least listen and give us a respectful reply. Just keep in mind - you will one day be in our place - and be asking for the same gifts from your fledglings.
