To the editor:
The ridiculous recall is over and after all the attention and headline-grabbing extremist activity, the majority has spoken. Forget about all the money thrown at the election, not one voter was paid.
But now we all have a responsibility that remains and always will. It is our job to make this democracy work. Contact your local, state and federal legislators. Make it known that we expect all of them to put partisan politics aside and work together, regardless of which side you lean toward.
Tell them we expect all to work towards campaign reform, term limits and general common-sense spending. Remember, our Founding Fathers made this a government "Of the People, By the People, and For the People." Let's begin to take those words to heart.
