I disagree with the barb last week to Brian Gray. In fact, a real sharp barb to Hillary Clinton >for her obnoxious campaign management. - G. Evans>

A second barb to the woman in the white van >at Abe Lincoln school. I have to agree with the upset parent about that white van parked in the crosswalk. I also pick up my daughter from that school, and I am also very upset about the fact that she parks there. I'm also very disappointed that the Monroe Police Department doesn't do anything to make this woman stop! I myself at the start of the year parked there once and the police came right away, and told me I can't park there and left it at that. I never again parked there. Now that so many parents and the school have called the police, why haven't they come out to take care of this problem? Wake up Monroe police. Come take care of this problem before you are responding to a child being hit by a car because of this woman parked where she is! - Another upset parent>

A long spiny, perhaps toxic barb to Jenell Larson >who appears to be so blinded by ideology as to forget how to present an opposing view without being thoroughly insulting, to the target, and to those who have to read such tripe. If this is progressivism, then you can count me out.

Secondly, an equally long and spiny barb to the voters of this nation> who tolerate do-nothing politicians, far more interested in getting re-elected than developing solutions to this country's immigration problem. There is no reason that employers cannot get the help they need, while providing immigrants a reasonably comfortable visit in this nation. Including education for their children, temporary drivers licenses and perhaps some type of emergency health care. Not to mention an opportunity to become citizens. - Anonymous>

I would like to place a blossom for the Monroe High School's cast of "Grease." >I went to the play and was so impressed with the talent of all the students. I went to the production of Grease at the Armory in Janesville a few years ago and these students did just as good if not better than the professionals that performed at the Armory. Thanks for an enjoyable evening. - Laurie Rear, Monroe>

A blossom to Kurt Kline and the staff at Turner Hall >for preparing the memorable dinner for the Monroe High School German Club members. The cheese fondue and dessert demonstrations and the generous portions of delicious Swiss food, served in the historic Rathskeller, made the evening fun and meaningful for these German students and their teachers! Danke! - Karen Fowdy, Monroe>

A blossom to the local law enforcement dispatchers> for all the work that they do. We as citizens are appreciative of the officers, firefighters and EMTs who respond when we need them, but it's the dispatchers who get them there. Thank you, Green County and Brodhead dispatchers for all the work that you do to make us feel safe, also. - Content Citizen>
