A big blossom to the Green County Highway department. You guys do a great job clearing the highways so they are drivable. Always remember that those complaints that come in are probably from people who don't drive to Madison every day and they never have seen the night-and-day difference been the Dane County and Green County roads. We should all be happy we don't have Dane County plowing our roads. Those of us who commute know how great a job you guys do. Keep up the good work! - Commuter

A big blossom to Dan Wegmueller for speaking the truth about colleges. It's a professor's job to teach, not to advocate for the left. - Glenn

A huge barb to the people of Blanchardville. They have a wonderful cafe there that has wonderful food. We have been there different times on Friday night for its wonderful fish and we are the only ones in there. What would happen if they didn't have that great cafe to go too? - A concerned patron

A barb to the Green County Fair Association. Every winter, the association, one of the largest owners of sidewalks in the city, neglects its sidewalks and permits accumulation of ice and snow on them, and allows them to become impassable, despite owning a lot of power equipment with the capacity to keep the walks in good condition. They should certainly be cited by the city under the ordinance which requires property owners to remove snow and ice. A very poor example of the good citizenship they should be displaying to their neighbors and folks who would like to use their sidewalks. On the other hand, a big blossom to the city parks administration who meticulously keep their sidewalks in beautiful condition. - Bob Smith

I would like to send huge blossoms to The Monroe Times for posting an article about the need for older used computers in my special needs classroom. Three families from the local communities of Monticello, Browntown and Brodhead donated computers to my Juda classroom. I appreciate your support and quick response. Thank you so much. - Joanne Putnam
