A blossom to Rainbow Childcare> for providing excellent care for our three children over the past 10 years. Thank you to all the staff! - Ralph and Debbie Henry>
A blossom to Red Apple Inn and Jay, Jimmy and Chili Rushiti. >They gave a free turkey feast to people in need. The service, friendliness and atmosphere were over the top. The food was delicious and well prepared and many people were thankful and I saw a lot of them bowing in prayer thanking Jesus. - Shelley M. Zimmerman, Monroe>
A blossom to all who donated to the Salvation Army buckets >last Friday. It was especially gratifying to hear mothers explaining to their children what charity is and how the funds are used. Also, the number of teenagers that donated helps prove that good moral values survive in our next generation. Thanks again, and bell ringers are always needed. - KC>
A blossom to any teachers >who teach their students to cough in their sleeve by bending an arm and NOT in their hands. Hopefully, these children can teach the rest of us. Will you want to shake someone's hand after they cough in it? Also, those who deposit their saliva while dealing out playing cards. Eeck! A timely reminder during this germy time of year. - Anonymous>
A huge blossom to Howard "Louie" Waelti and his wife >of Aebly Road, Monroe for towing my son's car from the ditch on Monday afternoon, Dec. 1. My wife and I are so grateful for your kindness and for being such good neighbors. - Joseph and Lisa Geyer, Monroe>
Sending a blossom to all of the people >who care about driving safely in the winter, thank you for using good judgement. A barb to those of you >who live on country highways and pull up to check your mailboxes by pulling your car up to the mailbox on the wrong side of the road. Do you know that you could cause a head-on accident by doing so? I believe this is illegal, as well as unsafe. Pull into your driveway and walk to your mailbox - use some common sense! - T. Patterson>
A barb against the free market economic system> that results in recessions and depressions, abuses of the environment, exploitation of labor, corrupt business practices, profiteering and grossly overpaid corporate executives. We need to go to a managed economic system, as most of the rest of the developed and many other nations have. This recession we are in now started in here in America and is now worldwide. The Great Depression started here in America and spread worldwide, as have all recessions since. If we do not voluntarily go to a managed economic system, the rest of the world is going to demand that we do so. - Dave Searles, Brodhead>
