An unfortunately belated but still heartfelt garden of blossoms to the Green County Fairboard for all the hard work they do every year to put on such a great county fair. It takes a lot of time and effort to put on something of this size and they always do an awesome job. - Kelly Gordee

On behalf of the Monroe Girls Tennis team, we would like to thank (blossom) the community of Monroe for supporting our car wash last Saturday, Aug. 14. A special thanks to Dick's Piggly Wiggly for allowing us to use their facility. The proceeds from the car wash were used to purchase new uniforms. - Monroe Girls Tennis

About a week or so ago, my wife and I were having dinner with friends at Vince's Restaurant and Pizzeria here in Monroe. It was pouring rain and unbeknown to us, the back window of our new car was down. One of the employees of the restaurant, namely Ryu, went out and put the window up for us, consequently getting soaked to the skin. We are ever grateful to this young man for his kindness. Thank you, Ryu. You deserve many blossoms. - Larry Stabenow

A very cool blossom goes to Jim and Mike Connors of Connors Plumbing & Heating, Inc. for donating 20 hours installing air conditioners at the Green County Historical Society museum. The cooler building not only makes it more comfortable for those working and those visiting, but it will help to preserve the fabric and paper items in the building. It also enhances the many other changes made in the museum in the last few years. - Board of the Green County Historical Society
