A huge barb to the person(s) who took the money box from the Barbers Two barbershop Thursday, April 1. The money in the box was for medical research for Cystic Fibrosis. I hope you feel real proud about yourself. - A very mad and upset volunteer

Many blossoms to:
The members of Boy Scout Troop 115 who helped clean the community gardens recently: Cody Faith, Beth Faith, Brad Grebner, Mike Grebner, Linda Nack, Sean Nack, Bob Vickerman, Gaida Vickerman, Derek Wahler, Dylan Wahler and Robert Wahler;
To Brandon Leverenz for mowing for the scouts to rake and clean the garden and also to Mike Hawkey for helping Brandon with plowing the site;
To Kelly Finkenbinder and the City of Monroe Public Works Department for bringing shredded bark mulch for the pathways in the gardens;
And finally, for all the enthusiastic gardeners who are already starting to sign up! - Grace Lutheran Outreach Ministry
A huge bouquet of flowers (blossoms) to the voters of this great City of Monroe, for getting out and voting Tuesday. It was a wonderful turnout. You showed the candidates again, that you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool al the people all of the time. Thank you ever so much. Now let's get down to work and keep Monroe the greatest place that there is to be from again. - A happy voter

A barb to the Monroe Clinic for suing people that can't afford to pay their bill. I lost my job and health care insurance last year and had to use the emergency room recently. I was sent a full price bill which was due immediately. I tried to work out a payment plan with the clinic but they told me I did not qualify for the charity program. I was unable to pay the bill in full so they took me to small claims court. After looking at the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access on the Internet, I guess I am not the only one in this situation. - Anonymous

Now that April 6 has passed, this is a general barb for all the negative bashing and venomous talk that was said in public and private forums. How disheartening it is to see this county's communities become so indignant. - Anonymous
