Blossoms to the kind and generous lady who paid for my 94-year-old mother's items at Shopko shortly before Christmas. Your lovely gesture has been duplicated and hope others will follow this in the New Year. - Rosalie Wieser

I would like to give a huge blossom to The Den. On Dec. 26, I decided to take my daughter to the Christian skate. We arrived at The Den to find that the skate had been canceled due to lack of participation. With tears in her eyes, my daughter, her friend, and I were about to leave when we were asked if we would like to skate while the clean-up was being done. My daughter and her friend proceeded to skate for the next 30 to 45 minutes. When it came time to pay, I was told no charge. Thank you to The Den for the kindness that you showed that day. We will surely return as paying customers to your business. - Kim Foesch

A Wild West days barb: A lone rider came into the city and took over the government, except for one brave person, and bought a property for 10 cents on the dollar and rode off with his bags of money, laughing all the way to the bank. - Anonymous

A huge blossom to five men who started a local band called Superheroes: Jon Ditulio, Matt Moede, Jon and Brian Koenig and Pat Bodell. It was such a pleasant surprise. Not too loud and not banging and yelling. It was nice to listen to and very enjoyable. Thanks for doing this for us. Hope you do well. - Anonymous
