Pretty blossoms to the drivers of vehicles who drive with their lights on. Sharp barbs to those that don't then them on>. They must not realize how they blend into the landscape on dark gray days. All it takes is to turn on a switch. Also snowplow drivers can see you better. - A. Huffman>
A GREAT BIG BLOSSOM to the firemen for saving our homes Wednesday morning>. They got there very quick almost as soon as the fire alarms went off and put the big fire out in just a few moments. We all thought our homes were gonna burn up and just like that it was over. There must have been 40 of them there and 6 or 7 cops. They didn't even cause much damage and the made sure the smoke was got out of the building and then the fire chief talked to all of us to make sure we had a place to stay and food and clothes. He even called the Red Cross who helped us find places to stay.
It is wonderful to have these guys protecting us
Thank you and God bless!! - Hector Corazino>
A blossom to the group of adults and young children of Potter House Church that showed up on our door steps and sang us some beautiful Christmas Carols on Saturday night>. It truly brought the meaning of Christmas into our home. - The Siedschlag Family>
The other day my husband treated me to lunch at Pizza Hut. While there we saw a large group of attractive, courteous, happy young adults. They had obviously finished eating yet were sitting quietly, speaking among themselves until it was time for them to leave. They were laughing and seemed to be having a good time, yet there was no loudness or unpleasantness going on. In fact at one point a small group broke into wonderful a cappella song. When they left I noticed some Brodhead letter jackets. We all hear horror stories about teens, yet this group showed there are more good teens out there than bad. Their parents have reason to be proud of them. Bunches of huge blossoms to every one of those teens there that day>. It was a pleasure to be there with you. - Kelly Gordee>
I'd like to send a huge blossom to Mort Wittwer> for taking time to give my father a haircut when he was hospitalized at the Monroe Clinic Hospital for a heart related issue. I had called Mort on short notice and he came up that evening to take care of Dad. With the way that Dad has been feeling lately and the fact that he was in the hospital, we weren't certain when we'd be able to get him to see Mort. To some, this may seem to be the smallest of things ... to me, it was one of the most wonderful gestures and it made Dad feel good, which was the whole point. Lastly, my family will miss seeing Mort at the barber shop.
I remember my Dad taking me to Mort's when I was a child and I am proud to have taken my boys to Mort. From all three generations and the whole Henry Henning family, thank you Mort. - Fred Norder>
A HUGE BLOSSOM (really a blossom doesn't even to begin to express the gratitude, so more appropriately MANY BOUQUETS) to the Green County Fall Nationals Truck and Tractor Pull group> for their donation of 11,000 pounds of food to Green Cares Food Pantry. This amazing gift will help feed the residents of Green County for many months. It is with profound thanks to Mark Hawthorn and the organizing/event team and Dick's Piggly Wiggly in Monroe for this incredible donation. A special thanks to the GCFN staff and event workers for unloading the semi-load of food and stocking the nearly bare shelves. WOW!
We need to say thanks to Glenn and Tammy Garfoot for providing the building to house Green Cares Food Pantry.
>The Blossoms also go to all the businesses, organizations and individuals who have donated and volunteered, not only to Green Cares since its opening, but who support and maintain all of the pantries in Green County>. People are fed because of you. These are difficult times. We live in an amazing county. - Board of Directors at Green Cares Food Pantry in Monticello>
The the biggest most beautiful bouquet of red and white roses with poinsettias, and, some gorgeous evergreen boughs to accent it all! That is the bouquet of blossoms that I wish to send to the fine folks at Maple Leaf (Cheese) and the Monroe Walmart for the very generous donations to the monthly Food Pantry at St. Vincent's>.
The wonderful cheese and much-needed household items were a blessing for us and I'm sure many others! What a wonderful way for these businesses to show the spirit of the season! Thank you. - Truthteller>
A huge holiday blossom to the carolers> - big and small - that sang so wonderfully at our door and throughout the Sunset Ridge subdivision on Sunday evening. Merry Christmas to you all! - Dick and Ellen Marti>
A HUGE blossom to all groups and individuals that take the time out of their schedules to visit nursing homes or send cards to shut ins>. Your random acts of kindness are appreciated more than you can know. Thank you. - Family member >
