On behalf of the Green County Junior Holstein Association, I would like to send a huge "thank You" to all the businesses, cheese factories and individuals who supported us in our endeavor to host this year's Wisconsin Junior Holstein Convention. The event was held the weekend of Jan. 2-4 at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton.
We set out to make it a showcase of all that we are proud of here in Green County, and that's just what we did. The businesses of our county were so unbelievably generous when we came knocking looking for donations and support, allowing us to do many extra and fun things. Thanks to our second-to-none cheese factories, we had a fabulous dairy bar showcasing most of our award-winning cheeses. All those in attendance were properly impressed.
Personally, I also would like to thank all the parents and Junior members, both past and present who put in many hours planning for the past 14 months. Everything went off without a hitch and our event has been dubbed "one of the best" in recent history. It's all thanks to everyone's hard work and extreme generosity.
