Today the Times begins testing its second comic strip in the search to replace "Kim and Jason."

For the past two weeks, we've tested "Crankshaft," which met with more favorable responses than unfavorable.

This week, we begin testing "DeFlocked," a strip about dysfunctional animals. We'll be trying it out for two weeks, and you can register your opinion online or by filling out a form that's in the paper.

I'm going to make a prediction, and say that people won't like "DeFlocked" as much as they like "Crankshaft."

But I could be wrong. That's up to you.
