Youve no doubt heard about March Madness. But how about March Badness?

Scot Ross of One Wisconsin Now (OWN) last week sent a link to a funny Web page his organization has put together. Playing off the NCAA basketball tournament office pool brackets, OWN has created a March Badness tournament to pick the worst of the worst among 16 Republicans and conservatives. OWN is a progressive group founded by Ross, who once worked in the office of Sen. Jon Erpenbach, D-Waunakee.

The 16 contestants in the March Badness tournament are divided into two divisions, the Hannity Division and the OReilly Division. I dont think I need to tell you who those divisions are named after.

On the left bracket, which must pain Hannity, are Judge Randy Koschnick vs. House Minority Leader John Boehner; Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal vs. Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen; State Superintendent candidate Rose Fernandez vs. RNC Chairman Michael Steele; and Congressman Paul Ryan vs. Rush Limbaugh. My guess is that Boehner, Jindal, Steele and Rush will advance. Limbaugh and Boehner will meet in the division final, where Rush will crush the House minority leader.

On the right bracket are former President George W. Bush vs. Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC); Wisconsin Family Council CEO Julaine Appling vs. Karl Rove; the New York Post vs. Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker; and state Rep. Jeff Fitzgerald vs. Racine mayoral candidate Jody Harding. This division seems rigged to me in favor of W. His only real competition should be from Rove.

This would set up a Limbaugh vs. Bush title match. Whom would you pick.

But, also, in the interest of fairness, lets come up with 16 Democratic and liberal contestants in March Badness. For starters, youve gotta include President Obama. How about adding Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Hillary Clinton, Tim Geithner, Gov. Jim Doyle, Nancy Pelosi and Roland Burris.

What Democrats and liberals would you nominate for a true left bracket of March Badness?
