I'm back, after a week with Mickey and the Gang at DisneyWorld. Being a newbie, I didn't even attempt to watch "Idol" while on vacation (my DVR was dutifully set for my return) but I heard the buzz anyway.
My sister, a veteran Idol die-hard, feigned exhaustion late Tuesday afternoon, leaving me to take the kids to the big light show at Disney Hollywood Studios Tuesday night - turns out, she snuck back to the resort to watch Idol. She excitedly told me about David Cook's fantastic cover of "Billie Jean" that might have won him the whole competition when me and the kids stumbled home late that night. I didn't allow her to tell me the results of Wednesday's elimination, however.
But when I got back and watched David C. - Wow. He is really an original and deserves to win.
Chickezie didn't necessarily deserve to go and I think Kristy Lee is smarter than she looks. Who could vote someone so patriotic off?
Now to this week - I am SOOOOOO glad David C. got a new 'do. I like him so much better now. His hairstyle was very offputting to me - just as Carly's tat sleeve is. But he rocked it again.
So did David A., Michael Johns and Brooke - I thought they all did great. Kristy will hang on for another week, I think. But Ramiele's time has come - she just ain't cutting it anymore - didn't anyone else think she was offkey?
